| 11/23/02 | 1814 | Blessing and Palacio: Met up with Scott, Mike, Butch, Bill, Pam and J.R. for ride to Blessing, Texas. Breakfast at Avalon in Stafford. Saw S. Texas Nuclear Power Plant, longhorn cattle, wooden bridge, and a very old hotel in Blessing. Detoured to Palacio to see the shore. More nice roads. Weather was perfect! Then through El Campo on the way back to Houston. Put on about 370 miles. First ride with new windshield and lowers. Worked great! |
| 11/29/02 | 2098 | Crockett: Road solo to parents' house on Thanksgiving morning, via Huntsville, Liberty and Lovelady. Paired up with a nice couple on a Dyna Wide Glide for a while. Returned the next day (Friday) shortly after Texas beat A&M 50-20. About 280 miles round trip Thursday and Friday. |
| 11/30/02 | 2311 | Galveston: About 18 bikes for this one. Met for breakfast at Mama's on Westheimer, road some back roads to this place called Cruisers, and then on to Shrimp and Stuff in Galveston for lunch. Next, we hung out at The Poop Deck on Seawall for a bit before a bunch of us had to head back. A bit over 200 miles Saturday and Sunday. |
| 12/14/02 | 2409 | DePelchin Toy Run: Star Riders of Houston had their annual Toy Run, benefiting the Depelchin Children's Center. There were 70 to 80 bikes and a police escort for the ride from B. B. Wolf's in Stafford, to the home in Richmond. In all, we raised about $6000, and donated tons of toys and gifts to the kids. It was a lot of fun running red lights too. |
| 12/28/02 | 2665 | Bellville: Star Riders group ride. About 21 bikes, road to Bellville and ate at Newman's Bakery. Lot's of twisty roads. First time I've seen anyone's bike break down, and would you believe it was a Honda? |
| 08/09/03 | ? | Richmond: Star Riders took a nice ride through Wharton and West Columbia, then back to visit the Depelchin home in Richmond. Another Honda broke down. Nuts. Saw David's new Valkyrie Interstate and Steve's new Valkyrie Rune. Very cool. Then Mike and I had to outrun a nasty storm on the way home. |
| 8/15/04 | 4234 | Note: Haven't kept up with the log this past year. Got engaged 12/25/03 and married 06/05/04. Didn't have time to ride much other than to work, bank or grocery store. |
| 08/16/04 | 4435 | Montgomery: Star Touring and Riding (STAR) #234 took a nice ride from Tomball, through Montgomery, New Waverly, Cleveland, and back. Nice BBQ lunch at "The Smoking Gun". |
